I attended Prairiland ISD and graduated in 1998. In December 2001, I graduated from Texas A&M – Commerce.

Professional Experience

Current Position:

This is my 21st year of teaching. I started my teaching career at Cheatham Middle School with Clarksville ISD. I taught 6th grade English for 4 years. I then moved to Aikin Elementary with Paris ISD. I taught 4th grade for 8 years. While there, I taught several different subjects over those 8 years, writing, math, science, and social studies. I now teach at Chisum Elementary. This is my ninth year here. While here, I have taught 3rd grade math, 3rd grade writing, 4th grade science and social studies, and now 2nd grade reading and writing.

Family Information:

I have been married for 22 years to my husband, Brandon. I have 2 children, my son, Cohen, who is 17 years old and a senior in high school and my daughter, Breelyn, who is 14 years old and a freshman in high school. Also part of our family is our dog, Cali, our cat, Whiskers, and our horse, Snowflake, who really belongs to my daughter.

 

Personal Information:

Being a mother of 2 teenagers keeps me quite busy. In my off time, I enjoy traveling. The beach is my favorite place to be, my home away from home. I also enjoy watching cop shows like NCIS, Blue Bloods, Chicago PD and so many more, and spending lots of time with my family. I love watching my kids play sports.
